Diversity can enhance a committee’s performance, if the group has good communication that allows the members to integrate their diverse perspectives. Diversity can be accommodated by allowing brainstorming task to take place in the committee (Galanes & Adams, 2013). Brainstorming is a method that allows individuals to have freedom to express their ideas without fear and embarrassment from others (Barker, Wahlers & Watson, 1995). Brainstorming allows the group to generate more ideas and become creative. To accommodate diversity the committee could use the nominal group technique (NGT) which is a group method whereby individuals work alone to generate ideas (Forsyth, 2006).

Often a chairperson reserves the right to make a decision regardless of what the members suggest the final decision is made by the chairperson. In this case one would tell the group that they need to make new coffins as it was requested by the presidents. Also distribute roles among them and will not let them overcome
