How Did Tom Sawyer Change

In every person’s life, there is a time when change takes place. Change can be good or bad, but usually it makes us a better person. In The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, the main character, Tom Sawyer goes through many emotional changes as he grows and matures. Seventh grade is also a time of change, so I have also gone through changes this year. Tom’s adventures changed him for the better. I think the biggest change for him was his maturity. When Huck, Joe, and Tom went to Jackson’s Island and they decided to crash their own funeral, they were being very immature. But, as the story went on, Tom matured. When Becky and Tom were lost in the cave, Tom acted resourceful to help them get out of the cave. He also learned the importance of family. When he snuck home from Jackson’s Island, he was going to leave a note because he didn't want his family to worry.
Seventh grade was a big time of academic change. The biggest change for me this year was my success on challenges. All of my classes this year had challenges, and an enriched class helped me to be successful. Usually, I didn’t accept the challenge if it seemed too hard. But now, I try hard on challenges to make me smarter and a better problem solver. Another experience that changed me academically was taking tests. Most of peers would probably totally disagree, but I think that tests are good. In a nutshell, school is about learning. There are so many way to learn, but one of the most beneficial way is to learn from a test. When you get something wrong on a test, you usually realize that mistake and don’t make it
