How Did Walt Disney Brother Studios Moved To Hollywood
In 1923 Walt moved to Hollywood to become a director. With the help of his older brother Roy, Walt set up a small studio to produce cartoons it was called Disney Brother Studios. They later moved into a new building and renamed it Walt Disney Studios, the birthplace of some of Disney's most prized work. In 1928, his innovative cartoon Steamboat Willy, featuring "Mickey Mouse," was a success across the United States. Steamboat Willy was the first animated show to combine sound with animation. Walt provided the voice for Mickey. Disney cartoons were in high demand, but the company was struggling financially because of Disney's insistence on ever-improving artistic and technical quality.
