America after World War I drastically changed economically and politically. Americans were able to accept and reject the new global influence after the war by becoming an economic giant, carrying out strikes due to the inflation, and rejecting the league of nations.

After the election of Republican candidate, Warren G. Harding, the United States became an economic giant. The US was the richest and most industrialized nation in the world. Although Americans were unsure of the requirements of their new luxurious status, they embraced their economic power as the leading country in the world economically.
