His pressing on women reproducing was even more frightening then Mussolini. Hitler felt some women in Germany did not have a “desirable” background to reproduce, therefore, he sterilized over 300,000 women so they could not have children. So before a woman married whether she had a physical defect, had been sick before, or had been sent to a concentration camp or sterilized she must have told her husband with documents so he would know what he was getting himself into. “Marriage is subject to the severest restrictions. Women who have been in a concentration camp must provide proof before marriage that they are in perfect physical and mental health. Racially pure and not dependent on public relief. Every woman with a physical defect, be it ever so slight, must make it known to the authorities.
