Paul’s brother, Erik Fisher, made the choice of helping his friend paint Paul’s eyes. “And I remembered Erik’s fingers prying my eyelids open while Vincent Castor sprayed white paint into them” (263-264). Erik and Vincent made this choice because they had spray painted a wall and thought Paul told on them while he was innocent.
