While most of these laws are very similar to the federal laws often times the punishments vary state to state. State laws impact my life daily when it comes to my job. Since I am over the age of 18 the regulations for me are much different from my co-workers who are still in high school and have to be off the clock by a certain time every night. Another way that state law impacts my life is the funding for my education. The state of Tennessee has just recently passed a law that states that students can go to school for two years for free due to state funding. There are also many other programs and grants such as TN Achieves, The Hope Scholarship, and other forms of aid. Sometimes this can get overwhelming for students who are trying to better themselves and their
