The body responds to different stimuli in different ways. My hypothesis is that when americans are exposed to foreign languages their body will respond in very definite ways. The body shows clear physical signs every emotion conveyed. For example, the human heart rate changes with every single change in emotion and studies have been done to prove such. The american response to languages not understood by them is a topic that hasn't been dove into directly however, with the correct studies to back me up i'm looking forward to being the first to do so.
“Brain responses reveal the learning of foreign language phonemes” states that the human brains responds with different plasticity and elent related brain potential when exposed to their native language. If you break that down, basically it means that when someone is exposed to a foreign language their brain connects events and ties mentions to certain rules. This is fascinating because with proper trials and research it could affect the application of teaching foreign languages in american schools. The way that we approach teaching languages in the united states has been proven inferior. “The comparison may be unfair in that a native six-year-old has had …show more content…
I've spent my entire life learning languages. When I came to america and began to learn spanish through books. I spoke three other languages and most people responded with awe or confusion. In this experiment my hope is to collect enough data to change how americans learn foreign languages and how they react to foreign languages. This is a field of science that has hardly been tapped and the potential is wild. If done correctly and put to good use the barriers that languages form between countries and peoples unknown to each other could be shattered. This experiment could literally change, perhaps not how we see the world, but how we hear the
