Unfortunately, a plethora of individuals have test anxiety. Students know how important the test is, therefore they worry about how well they are going to perform on the test. Students know that if they do not perform well on the test, they would have to attend remedial classes. When it comes to test that are timed, people may get overwhelmed wondering whether they would be able to complete the test. In school I always did well on my homework and understood what was going on in the classroom, however I received bad grades on my test because I felt rushed with a time limit. Furthermore, I was anxious, causing me to have to read questions over and over to understand them. A numerous amount of my friends are in college and are not able to graduate due to major tests similar to this type of test. The best way for students to improve in their learning, is when teachers integrate students interest into assignments and when they are able to participate in active tasks. As I mentioned in the first paragraph students abhor test because they put a lot of pressure on them. It would definitely be a challenge for teachers who work with younger children, because these students lose attention fast. Young children need to be able to move around throughout the day.
