We will be happy to help others.
We will help others help us too.
Help others can enhance our own happiness.
Helping others is a blessing.

If you want to help people, you can read “Angels In the

Snow” and “EmilyAnne.” The two articles are both about kids helped others and can inspiring you to help others. Can you help people? Holly St. Lifer’s “Angels In the Snow” tells about a group of
Dragon Slayers rescues the victims. The Dragon Slayers have
Erinn Marteney,Pete Brown,Lydia Hess, and more. They live and work in Aniak,Alask. They respond to about 400 calls a year. Pete Brown trained branchild for emergency medical training. And Brown’s daughter,Marich,is medic rescue swimmer in the Navy. Emily Anne’s article tells about a girl named EmilyAnne.
EmilyAnne was severely bullied her peers in her need to transfer school. She gradually gained confidence in her new school. She learned to love and the need for a community to help them gain a sense of selfworth. EmilyAnne used a computer and her social media technology “WeStopHate” to help others achieve selfrespect. She helped many people to overcome the bullying and exclusion. The stories inspired me by me should try our best to help people in needs. We can help them. In the article “Angels In the
Snow” , “Marteney found the boy huddled behind the bathroom door and rushed him out to safety.” And in the Emily Anne’s

article, “Though her work she has been able to connect and empower millions of young people globally to help them realize the power of selflove and acceptance as a means to overcome bullying and exclusion.” Marteney is a Dragon Slayer who helped a boy, and EmilyAnne is a students helped some peer. I think we should act like them to help people who need to help. In the article “EmilyAnne”,

Throughout life we will find ourselves in situations where another person, possibly a stranger, needs our help. Question number 3 addresses the topic of the bystander effect. Diffusion of responsibility is essentially not feeling an urgent need to step in and help. Because you are assuming that others who are witnessing the circumstances will be the ones to jump in and help (Gilovich et al., 2013). The bystander intervention theory explains that people are less likely to help out in a situation, because they just assume that someone else will do it (Gilovich et al., 2013)). I believe that one of the obstacles that prevent people from helping is that they simply feel underqualified. Perhaps they lack the confidence to help, or they feel…

Under the Good Samaritan Rule which is not valid in all states, someone could not be sued or prosecuted if, in good faith, they voluntarily rendered and/or summoned aid for an imperiled stranger. Under the American Bystander Rule a person would have to have the legal duty to act or aid, and be required to do so, if they are employed in some helping occupation, or if they have some other legal obligation which requires them to act a special, or familial, relationship with a person in distress. In the United States, individuals do not have a duty to intervene when someone else is in danger. This is known as the American bystander rule and is different from the European rule that obligates intervention, called the Good Samaritan rule.…

No, I do not think that they had the duty to help their neighbors because white people aren’t any better than them, and they could contract the yellow fever just like everybody else even though it was believed that blacks couldn’t contract yellow fever. The Free African Society was just doing it out of the kindness of their hearts they didn’t have to help them they chose to help them. Murphy states, “In reality this wasn’t true. A small number of blacks who had grown up in either Africa or the West Indies had the disease as children and survived” (48).…

There has been so many situations involving people not helping others in a situation where they are hurt, when they have been hurt, where they are in need of assistance, or people witnessing a crime involving someone getting hurt, we can refer to them as bystanders, or sometimes we can refer it as the bystander effect. This is a common, for instance, in different parts of the world, itś not just here in California, itś in so many places, but we probably don't pay so much attention to this situation. This is when different types of situations have occurred, for instance, in Chicago four teenagers were charged for kidnapping another teen; however he was white, they kidnapped and tortured him, they did so many things to him, the worst of all he…

Smillie and Minear describe humanitarianism as “the act of people helping people” (pg.11a). Everyone wants to contribute some way or another to help other human beings who are less fortunate then themselves. When a natural disaster, war, or famine happens to other people it compels people to want to help in some way. There are many organizations that provide relief to people in need. They provide basic needs such as food, shelter, and security. A lot of times the countries and people in need, need more than just short term help, they need more long term. Humanitarianism is short-term compared to development but without humanitarianism people would not want to stay long term to help with the development side of humanitarian aid. My personal view of humanitarianism was people helping people in need. Do whatever job needed to be done. After reading more information on the subject I learned that there is more involved than just people helping people.…

In this world we have two kinds of people, priveledged and oppressed. Those of privilege have the means to help others and those oppressed tend to be the people that are victimized and experience the most suffering. Some of us see our blessing as priveleged people and see the need for change in the world and seek to do what we can or think we can to change it. We call our selves humaitarians beacuse we are concerned with seeking to "promote human welfare." This sounds like a very great thing however, humanitarianism can get ugly and tainted when the motives that we have to help the oppressed are hidden within our own corruption and greed.…

In the book, The Inseparability of Ethics and Politics: Rethinking the Third in Emmanuel Levinas by Madeleine Fagan, I was struck by the line “For Levinas, charity and justice cannot be separated,” on the first paragraph, page 18 on the book. Levinas believes that charity and justice goes along together. But what disturbs him is the thought that some structures might prioritize charity over justice. At first I was confused and couldn’t think of the relation between charity and justice. Charity, from the Webster Dictionary, is the voluntary giving of help, and justice is the quality of being fair and reasonable.…

A parable is a tale which conveys a message or principle that individuals should have and use throughout their lives; in order to become a greater person. These parables are often straightforward but do have an underlying meaning. The New Testament beholds the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25 – 37) that begins with a lawyer asking, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”. This then leads on to Jesus narrating the fable. This tale is simply about a man going from Jerusalem to Jericho, who then gets attacked by thieves who strip him down and beat him; leaving him to die on the gravelly road. Soon after, a priest and Levite sees his stricken figure and continues walking ahead. Fortunately, a Samaritan stops and immediately assists him by taking the bruised fellow to an inn. By voicing this parable, Jesus preaches the characteristic of equality.…

People in poor nations are starving to death when we are enjoying our delicious meal with our friends and family. There are various governmental aid-projects and privately run charities which are responsible for delivering donations from the relatively wealthy nations to the nations in need. I believe it is a morally right thing to help the people in need, but not every one of us would make donations regularly.…

People are most likely to help others in certain circumstances: when they are not in rush. People who are in a good mood are more likely to help. Good mood makes people interpret events in a sympathetic way and it gives them more positive thoughts about helping behaviors. Also people in a bad mood can often increase helpfulness because they feel guilty about something and they may be motivated to help others in order to improve their mood.…

Now, when it was clarified how the term ‘humanitarian assistance’ will not be understood and used for the purpose of this thesis, it is time to focus on the opposite issue. As was stated above, there are different definitions of humanitarian assistance. According to XX: ‘The term humanitarian assistance, as used in the framework of armed conflict, addresses relief schemes provided to a civilian population – generally from outside.’ Some scholars define it as ‘an assistance of an exclusively humanitarian character, provided by the international community, to meet the immediate needs of victims of emergency situations’ , while the World Health Organization considers it to be ‘[an a]id that…
