Does the increase of cell phone usage have a negative impact on how people behave in public? Most people get so bent out of shape when they see someone on a cell phone especially while driving. Some people do not care either way because they just keep to themselves. It does have a negative impact on people because it distracts people while driving, people do not pay attention where they walk while on their phone, and how people view other people on cell phones. Cell phones are a big distraction to people while driving. Most people concentrate more on their cell phone then on the road itself. In America the accident rate has gone up a big percentage because people are so worried about who is calling or texting them. If people just slowed down and focus on their diving more they would not get pulled over as much. To explain, if people did not worry about who is on face book, calling them, or texting them there would be less people getting hurt by distracted drivers. People just need to be more aware of the road, and people need to watch where they are walking while on their cell phone. …show more content…
Even when people are walking they do not pay attention to what they are doing while on their phones.
Most people do cross the street when they are supposed to. They are so busy with face book or phone calls that they do not notice the car that is about to hit them. These people walking get mad at the person that hit them and want to sue them, but clearly it is the walkers fault. Some people just need to wake up because clearly they are not able to do two things at once. For instance, if people just watch what they are doing it would make it less likely for them to get hit by a car or hurt. As a society people have to be aware of their surroundings, and it might stop how people view others on cell
phones. It is disgusting how people view other people on cell phones. It is understandable when people see someone driving and on their cell phone disgusting. A lot of people hate the fact that people uses cell phones while walking or driving. That is a very ugly trait to have, being judgmental. One day a friend was on the phone at the bus stop and waiting for the bus to unload. There was a guy that was waiting on the bus as well and out of nowhere the guy started to curse out this friend. The guy was saying get off the cell phone, pay attention, and other remarks that are fighting words to most people. It is not like this friend was talking about anything bad on the phone. The conversation was about their final they had that day in class. My friend told him,” to back off!”, and continued to get on the bus. To illustrate, god does not like ugly and being judgmental is the worst trait to have. People in America said, “If you’re going to point your finger at someone with judgment just remember that you will have three fingers pointing right back at you!” In layman terms; treat people the way someone would want to be treated with respect. As Americans, there are better things to do then to judge others, but if he/she still does they would dislike the person they will become. Cell phones do have a negative impact on people because it distracts people while driving, people do not pay attention where they walk while on their phones, and how people view other people on cell phones. The main issue we have in America today is people talking on their cell phones while driving. If everybody bands together it would not be hard to put a stop to phone usage while driving. It could be possible if cops raised the fine or even make it to where it is on the same level as a DUI with jail time an all. Most people would oblige this law because people do not like the idea of going to jail especially over a cell phone.
