I believe Civil disobedience positively impact a free society , A free society is defined as one where individuals act entirely out of their own will. In civil disobedience they disobey it peacefully they do not harm anyone, they just peacefully try to get their voice heard. Not only that but the individual him or herself accepts the consequences not the society.
Civil Disobedience is a positive thing. Many of america’s biggest victories has came from many people’s disobedience. A Great example of this would be the civil right’s act. Rosa parks said no to not moving from her seat , this made a huge event in the movement, this made headlines showing the nasty part of the laws, the unjust situations people of color were put through, she raised eyebrows made people think just because her civil …show more content…
disobedience. She raised awareness to a problem that was hurting innocent people for years as well making a step in the right direction. If she wouldn't have had her civil disobedience, who knows what kind of crooked world we would have had to live in today. Her story proves that one person’s civil disobedience can be a huge step in a solution for a terrible law and a better future for the people in the future.
In this question I agree that people would argue that civil disobedience is harmful by influence others but influencing doesn’t necessarily make someone do something.
An individual itself has own thoughts and own morals to do something. Individuals have their own brain to take action on thing, yes they could be swayed to think away but not necessarily be forced to do something, they have to be willing under their own will. So for example a Rosa parks did influence the way martin Luther King thought but did not make him due the actions he did. Dr. King did the actions because that’s what he believed were right, he wanted to do these actions to show the world what he thought. In this case though the influence was a positive influence because his actions helped make the civil right movement get the attention and the right solution it did. His actions made probably one of the biggest steps to the movement making the world we live in more fair and peaceful. These two amazing individual's civil disobedience as well as their will for justice made it possible for us to be able to have all races equal and able to love and care for each other as well as
appreciate.
Also another thing that people may argue is that it is “breaking the law”. Disobeying and breaking are two different things, By disobeying you could just not participate in the law, for example i could plan committing a crime but not actually doing it. Am I breaking the law ? No but I am disobeying the moral and thought behind. So just because you disobey something doesn’t necessarily mean you broke the law.
In conclusion civil disobedience is a positive. thing because it doesn't harm anyone, and the only person that gets consequences the person itself as well as the fact that civil disobedience can make a huge influence and raise awareness to unjust events and laws like we saw in Rosa parks and Dr. king civil disobedience results.
