In the show Game of Thrones, written by George R.R Martin, there is a character by the name of Daenerys Targaryen. Her father was king of the Seven kingdoms of Westeros until he was murdered. Her whole family was slaughtered, all but her brother. One would think that she would still be raised as a princess, and in part, she was. Her brother Viserys Targaryen wanted the throne and he wanted it badly. Daenerys was ascribed as a weak woman, a nobody, a warm body, she was treated like a dog. This is what she has ascribed herself as, who she wants others to know that she is. She is now known as one of the most powerful woman ruler in the whole known world of Game of Thrones. She holds herself in high regards, while others still laugh at her because she is a woman. As Daenerys has said “A woman? Is that supposed to be an insult?’ (Daenerys Targaryen, Game Of Thrones). She believed that just because she was a woman did not mean that she was not able to accomplish what she wished. In another instance Daenerys said “I am no ordinary woman, my dreams come true” and also “All men must die, but we are not men” (Game of Thrones).
