How Does Daenerys Targaryen Shape Our Identity

War, death, and misogyny is what runs rampant in the world of Game of Thrones. Identity in this show changes over time and leads to different attributions and attitudes. Identity is who we are, what made us become, well, us. It is whom we were raised with, the culture we learned, the customs we followed, the roles that were imposed on us. All of the little things in life, no matter how miniscule, helped shape our identity.

In the show Game of Thrones, written by George R.R Martin, there is a character by the name of Daenerys Targaryen. Her father was king of the Seven kingdoms of Westeros until he was murdered. Her whole family was slaughtered, all but her brother. One would think that she would still be raised as a princess, and in part, she was.
