The mother of the 5 women Mrs. Bennet heard that a newcomer named Mr. Bingley has a large fortune and is single. Since she believes that her daughters need to get married as quickly as possible, Mrs. Bennet has her husband Mr. Bennet invite the newcomer over. The meeting with Mr. Bennet goes well, and they go to a ball in Meryton. Mr. Bingley brings his two sisters, his brother-in-law, and his friend Mr. Darcy.
