How Does Exercise Affect Heart Rate
Heart rate is an extremely important part of many people’s lives. It affects our personal health and how our body works. When the body exercises, the heart rate goes up and when the body is inactive or not being active the heart rate goes down. When the pulse is pumping fast, then that means work is being done. Having a high heart rate is good for the heart and the body. Obese people can use heart rate and exercise to change their life. Due to the amount of people that are obese, a good amount of the population is now unhealthy and overweight and we need to change that.

Exercise affects heart rate in many ways when it comes to physical exercise. Many exercises heart rate negatively and positively. For example, basketball affects the heart rate positively because basketball is a sport where people are constantly moving

One of the factors are the types of air temperature. Hot air temperature is good for pulse because when it is hot the endurance level goes up. When the air temp goes up, so does the pulse of the heart. Cold air temperature is not so good for heart rate. Cold air takes more time to get used to compared to hot air. Cold air temperature is bad because it takes more breathe so it’s harder for the lungs to process.(What affects heart rate heart.org) We also have to be careful what we consume. The body size affects how the pulse works. when we are a good size, pulse is fine but when we are larger, the pulse works different. Larger is bad for pulse and a fit, healthy body is good for the heart rate. The medication use also comes into play. Taking a lot of medicine can affect how active and how much the body can work. It is not healthy for the heart to take a lot of drugs. The drugs are proven to make the brain not want to work as hard and stay fit as much.(What affects heart rate heart.org) Make sure you keep the body healthy for less

    Homeostasis is the process which the body internally is kept relatively stable despite changes in the environment. Your body is able to adapt to several conditions. For instance, average human body temperature is 37°C, varying slightly from person to person. When the temperature outside drops to 30 degrees, your body temperature remains the same, proving your body has the ability to regulate its own temperature. Along with temperature, there are many other ways in which your body regulates itself, especially during exercise. The heart is controlled by the sympathetic nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system. These two systems control the rate of the heart, so it is beating enough oxygenated blood around the body to provide respiring muscle tissues with the right amount of oxygen. For example, when the body is exercising, more oxygen is needed in the muscles, so the heart needs to pump faster to accommodate this. The sympathetic nervous system is responsible for the increase of the heart rate during physical exercise, fear or stress. The parasympathetic nervous system slows down the heart rate during periods of rest. The Sino-atrial node sends electrical impulses around the heart muscle and tells it how fast it should be beating according to the impulses received from the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems. Every few seconds, the Sino-atrial node sends out nerve impulses which branch across the atrial muscle fibres and cause a contraction. These impulses are received by the atrio-ventricular node which stimulates the second contraction of the heart. Another factor that effects the heart rate is adrenaline which is released from the adrenal gland during times of physical action, stress or fear.
