Immigrations effect on society
Historically, immigration has been very important to establish in the United States of America. Many came to America seeking a better life for themselves and their family. Mass migrations occurred from Europe and other countries to establish this nation, in fact every person who is not of Native America linage, immigrated to this country albeit it recently or generation before. “The United States has been shaped in very large part by surges of migration, from the Scots-Irish who streamed over in vast numbers in the dozen years before the American Revolution until now” (Barone, 2013).However, immigration in America is changing, …show more content…
Because of immigration, people are exposed to diverse language and cultures that are different from their own, adding to the richness of any given society People are less likely to move in times of economic distress, and these movements have slowed or ended since the onset of recession. Immigration can lead to an exchange of values, knowledge, expertise and perspectives. For example, because there are so many foreign- born teachers, that makes it easy for foreign language to be implemented into student curriculum. For instance, many pre-k class have a hired Spanish teach to teach Spanish language to these students. Another value of immigration is that, people are exposed to different cultures, and this allows Americans citizens to be more versatile in the work-field through travel, inter-national exchanges, education. Immigrations add to economy society because, they are steadily becoming home owners, they are also buying cars, and establishing small businesses. Immigrations add value to the working- force, because Foreign-born people work much harder than Americans in many people opinion, and they are much easier to get along with. They are also very educated people; most foreign-born people are likely to obtain are college educated or already have multiple degrees.
