This invention is important to sumerian society because it will make sumerians happier. Music could be used for religion and worshipping. We could have people that play music called musicians and we believe that musicians will bring joy to the gods. Because of that all the people of sumer will be happy because the gods are happy. Music can also be used as ways to entertain people. We could entertain our guests at feasts by hiring musicians to play music for them. This affects the people of sumer because people will enjoy times at parties.
