How Does Psalm 51: 1-3.1 Have Mercy On Me
Psalms
51:1-3

1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.

I chose Psalm 51:1-3 because I feel it relates to my life greatly. These three verses from Psalm 51 relate to my life because I know my wrongdoings, and I know it is the right thing to do to ask the Lord to forgive me and cleanse me from my sins. These three verses from Psalm 51 also relate to my life because I have sinned multiple times, and I have asked the Lord to forgive me many times. When I read these verses from Psalm 51, they made me think deeply about the times where I have sinned and I did not ask the Lord for forgiveness. When I ask the Lord to forgive me of

Also, I feel that verse 6 relates greatly to my life because it displays exactly what I need some help in. In verse 6, there is a statement that if you acknowledge the Lord, He will make you a straight path. I feel that this is something that I could work on or improve on because I need to start acknowledging the Lord more. What I mean by that is I need to start accepting God in to my life more because the more I sin and shine off reality, the less straight my path is going to be. I often come across the thought that God carves a path for each human being, but not everyone follows it. I feel that people get distracted and less connected to God, and they end up drifting off the path that God had carved for them. This makes me believe that if I follow all of the right things and do good things in life, I will smoothly travel through the path that God originally had carved for me. I feel that these verses from Proverbs 3 have opened my eyes and from now on I will look back at these verses as a sign of guidance from

In Into Thin Air by Jon Krakaeur, the author’s word choice of descriptive passages and vivid words help well understand his perspective. You see this whole story is written in perspective Jon Krakauer is a journalist by trade, and his motive for going on the Everest expedition is to write an article about the experience of climbing as part of a commercial expedition. The perspective is in the first person, but with a journalistic viewpoint. Krakauer often seems removed from the subject, describing events as objectively as possible, as one would expect in a journalistic article. For example, he is sometimes critical of his fellow climbers, even though elsewhere he describes…

Paul delivered these instructions to help actively restore Christians that were sinning. Paul emphasized the need for tenderness in the restorative process to fulfill the law of Christ. Individuals are addressed with stern warnings and blessings if they are followers of the Holy Spirit. “Make no mistake: God is not mocked, for a person will reap only what he sows, because the one who sows for his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows for the holy spirit will reap eternal life from the spirit.”…

“Psalm” is the longest book in the bible and is written in prayers, poems, and hymns. It is about God and His creation, war, worship, wisdom, sin, evil, judgement, and the coming of the Messiah. “Psalm 89” talks about Ethan’s realizations about God, the great things that God has done, and the promises that He has made. It also explains that God is angry with the Israelites for sinning, so a psalmist asks The Lord to have mercy on them. After he asks for mercy, he says, “Remember how short my life is, how empty and futile this human existence! No one can live forever; all will die. No one can escape the power of the grave” (Psalm 89.47-48). The people wanted forgiveness but nobody knew how long they would have to live and they knew that death will take over eventually. In other words, they wanted to be forgiven before they…

Proverbs supply wisdom for all people regardless of their age, sex or position in society. An attribute to possess in order to obtain great wisdom on diligence and laziness is first we must have the fear of the Lord. Concussions in Sports By: Brent McClure Many people believe that concussions and head injuries are just a part of sports, but research shows other wise. “We all stray from time to time….and when you do, OWN IT! If you deny it….you are giving up control again.” This can teach a lesson to people struggling with drugs and alcohol. If you deny that you have a problem, you will continue to let these things control your life, but if you own up to it, you can help yourself or get help from others. The quote, from the “I don’t know the Bible…” paragraph, “‘Well done, my good and faithful servant,”’ reflects what I believe in and what I have learned. Growing up I heard many people tell me, “God first, others second, and yourself last.” First of all, these two quotes are telling me to live a faithful life by putting God first. Also, to put others before me and serve them just like Jesus did.…

When I read this phrase it picked up my attention right away because I am a true believer that God always help us and never is going to leave us alone but, at the same time, I believe it is our job to be smart and choose the best choice. When I was 18 years old, God opened a door so I came to United States to play Soccer and to get a scholarship. Before that opportunity, I was not very close from Christ and never went to church and read the bible very often. Being here, I meet great people, the family that I stay with help me to get closer to God and I started going every Sunday to church and reading the bible more often. Since that moment, God is more present in my life and working through my life showing me His intimate love. With Christ being in my heart, my life has grown stronger and I try to follow His way the best that I can. The NIV of Proverbs 3:5-6 states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; acknowledge Him and He will make you path straight.”…
