As a result of Romeo committing suicide to believing that Juliet is dead. Juliet awakens from her fake death and finds that Romeo has killed himself in believing that her fake death as real and in result Juliet cries what happened to Romeo and the friar says, “I hear some noise, Lady, come from that nest Of death, contagion and unnatural sleep: A greater power than we can contradict Hath thwarted our intents: come, come away: Thy husband in thy bosom there lies dead; And Paris too: come, I’ll dispose of thee.” Shakespeare focuses his attention on figurative language in order to suggest that our decisions can also be guided by a greater power. When the Friar utters the words, “A greater power than we can contradict Hath thwarted our intents.” By referring to a greater power Shakespeare is referring to stars in which is a metaphor for faith in which is written for Romeo and Juliet to kill themselves because of their love for eachother. Romeo and Juliet's decisions may be based off of stars and at some times they may make decisions on their own. However, they are ultimately capable to making decisions of their own as Romeo did when he committed suicide. When making decisions ultimately people may believe that faith will guide people's decisions however people can branch off of the stars and make a decisions of their own and what they truly believe
