In the move Spielberg uses both colour and black and white. I think the main reason is to set the scene for the age and era of the story. Spielberg also uses colour for the girl in the red coat to draw attention to her and what she is doing so we as viewers take an interest in her. Colour was also used in the film at the start of the film and the end of the film. At the end when the actors and the survivors where putting rocks on Schindler’s grave there was colour used to bring forward in time.

Oskar Schindler and Itzhak stern started off not knowing each other and not trusting each other.
