A reaction is a chemical process in which substances decomposes, or combines with other substances. In this case it is synthesis chemical process which creates new products. However, the rate of a reaction can be altered either faster or slower depending on certain variables. These variables are concentration, temperature, surface area, and catalysts. A reaction can be made faster or slower with a variation in the concentration of reactants; a reaction goes faster when there is an increase in concentration of a reactant. Temperature allows the reactants to react faster, and increasing the amount of energy taken in. Allowing the molecules to react faster. Surface area can also increase or decrease the rate of reaction of an experiment, the bigger the surface area the faster the substances would react with each other. For example, a powdered form of magnesium would create a faster chemical reaction compared to a solid form of magnesium because the powder form has a bigger surface area. Finally, a catalysts, is a substance that

In this experiment, the combination of hydrochloric acid and sodium thiosulphate, which are two aquatic solution, creates four substances, first there is sodium chloride which is a dissolved solution, the other one is sulfur dioxide, a gas, the there is, water, a liquid and the last one, Sulphur, is a solid. Sulphur is the focus of the experiment. Temperature will be the changing factor that will be investigated to determine its effect on the rate of reaction. When temperature increases, as stated before, will have more energy and therefore moves faster, allowing the molecules to collide more quickly. With that bonds can be broken and formed again to create the new substances in the chemical reaction. As it can be seen in the images below, that is the basis of how the experiment will be
