How Great Is Alexander Really Great?
Many may ponder “Is Alexander really great?”. Alexander has done many things in history, but does that make him great or just selfish because of what he did accomplish was for himself? Alexander himself discovered seventy cities which might seem great, but he named them either after himself or his horse. That can make one ponder about him. Is he really great, or is he just a selfish person that thinks he’s great? Alexander has done many things to become great to me. One example is when he went to unify the East and West and translated the Old Testament into Greek and exposed more people to the scripture. The historians also know him to be ranked one of the greatest minds in World History. Every battle he fought, he never lost.

He did conquer much land and spread greek culture throughout Europe but not many people know what he did to his men in order to do this. One way that he torched his men to get what he wants is in Document D when the man went through all that work to get him his hat back after it falling into the water than killed him. Since he placed in on his head he had to get it cut off because it says “he should not allow the head that had worn the royal head band to be safe” (Document D). He did this to show the rest of his men…
