Molly Stephens Ms. Powell Composition 2B 23 October 2023 How Hamilton’s Impact Forever Altered America The early Americans all worked together in efforts to build a new country. After winning the Revolutionary War, America needed authority, like a leader or leaders, to support them in their rise to the top. They accomplished this through the making of their government, formation of finance, and an extensive military made to defend- but how (or who) exactly assisted in all of these advances? None other than the “Ten Dollar Founding Father without a father” (Miranda), Alexander Hamilton. Alexander Hamilton had a positive impact on America because he helped ratify the Constitution, organized the National Bank, and made a lasting impact on the …show more content…
Thomas Jefferson, a Virginian, disagreed with Hamilton’s plans because he thought if the government had control over all of the nation’s money and debt, it would result in the government having too much power. Despite people disagreeing with his ideas, Congress and Washington still approved them. The national bank made a great impact on America’s economy and allowed it to grow as a country. After the hardship that Alexander Hamilton faced, he became a very important figure in our country’s history. His journey began when he left his home in the Caribbean to come to America. Hamilton, parentless and penniless, dreamed of receiving an education from King’s College. He also wished for a war so people would remember his name once he died. Due to his relentless efforts during the Revolutionary War and political efforts, Hamilton earned the title of Founding Father. All seven men with this title dedicated their lives to crafting a steady foundation for America. Eliza Hamilton, his wife, also helped to share his story and preserve his legacy. She also received help from her older sister, Angelica Skylar, when she needed it
