How Is Conflict Shown in ‘Macbeth, The Charge Of The Light Brigade And The Hero’?
The word conflict to me means to have an argument or disagreement, an example for this is when the soldiers go and fight in Afghanistan against the Taliban’s. This shows how many soldiers have lost their lives/ died in battle.
In the first key scene of Macbeth, the conflict in Macbeth is when he goes to kill King Duncan and sees a deadly vision of a dagger; this means that the dagger is not authentic.
The quotation for this would be ‘All our yesterdays have lighted fools’, this shows that Macbeth wants to go back to the past and change things. Also, another quotation would be, ‘Is this a dagger, which I see before me’ this shows that Macbeth sees a deadly vision of a dagger; he is heading towards the king’s chamber. This is called hallucination, which means that you see something that is not actually there.
Finally, the last quotation for Macbeth would be ‘Out, out brief candle’, this shows that Macbeth’s life will be cut short and wants to die now.
In the poem, the charge of the light brigade, the conflict would be when the soldiers are, marching into battle and are heading towards death into the valley of death.
The quotation for the first stanza would be ‘Forward the light brigade, charge for the guns’ this shows that the general is giving orders and that the soldiers cannot quarrel back.
In the second stanza, the conflict would be when the general had made an extensive and monumental mistake. The quotation for this would be ‘Forward the light brigade, was there a man dismayed, not though the soldier knew, someone had blundered’. This evaluates that the general was not benevolent and humane; the reason for this is because the general had sent the soldiers to their own death.
In the third stanza, the conflict would be when the soldiers are fighting
