RuPaul Andre Charles rose to become one of the most famous American actor, author, recording artist, and model in the 1990s, and was best known as mononymously as RuPaul. As a person who appeared regularly in different variety of television programs, musical albums, and films, being famous could just be described as the reward for hardworking.
Born in San Diego, California on November 17, 1960, RuPaul was named by his mother, who was a native of Louisiana. The prefix “Ru” was adopted from roux, a term for the base of different creole stews and soups. During the 1980s, RuPaul struggled in Atlanta, Georgia as a filmmaker and musician.
