Ralph eventually believed that there is a beast on the island, which lead to Simon being accused as the beast. The hallucinations, caused by the devil, lead to the death of Simon, this is a symbol of sin and loss of maturity. To further analyze, “Piggy and Ralph, under the threat of the sky, found themselves eager to take a place in this demented but partly secure society” (Golding 140). In the excerpt from the Lord of the Flies, Jack and the others believe Simon is the beast, which causes Ralph and Piggy help kill Simon. The turning of Ralph and Piggy demonstrate the relationship between the Lord of the Flies and the story of the Garden of Eden. Simon in the Lord of the Flies is like the glue to complete the biblical allegory. Simon was an innocent, kind-hearted, and supportive person. Regrettably, everyone killed him because he was incriminated of being the beast, but he was the real peace and comfort in the island. Simon is the last piece of the puzzle because of his Christ-like
