World War I was caused by the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, when nineteen year old Gavrilo Princip shot both the Archduke and his wife, Sophie, in their car on June 28th, 1914. The assassination led to Austria-Hungary to declare war on Serbia, and the peace between the two great powers collapsed. There was a total of forty-thousand concentration camps, where people were put under harsh conditions and either used as work slaves or
