Things have certainly changed in the 21st century. Information Technology (IT) is becoming part of our lives and some cannot live without it. Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) defines that Information Technology is “the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware” (Information Technology Association of America, n.d.). To sum it up, Information Technology is related to the use of computers for transferring or modifying of data or to communicate with people.
Everywhere is getting computerised – home, college, office, etc. Now everyone has at least one computer at their home to make their life easier. In college like APIIT, computers can be seen everywhere – labs, office, cafeteria and so on. By using security cameras, the police are able to crack a criminal case much more easily.
