There are several type of typologies in a gang which leads to active/regular gang, associate gang members, hard core gang member knowns as OG( orginal gang stars) and wannabes. Active gang members and associate gang member use hand signs to communicate each other, write gang graffiti, wear gang color clothing to represent their gang. But, what makes a associate gang separate from regular gang is that after, the associate gang memeber get fit to the gang they can come and go from gang. However, hardcore gang member makes up 10%-20% of the gang and become directly leader of the gang. They also involve in drug transportation, assaults, shooting and robbery to murder. Wannabes are the most dangerous gang member, in order for them to gain trust in the gang they have to kill a rival gang member or do something so, they can show that they down for anything for the gang. Most likely, in the emergency room nurses seeing innocent people and gang member getting hurt, they end up into hospital for doing crime as shooting, stabbing and fight against other gang. An nurse would able tell which is youth gang member and after taking physical exam if an nurse suspect the him/her, she will directly contact to the hospital security or to an emergency center. Nurses have said that, there is level of gang signs on the gang memeber which represent their gang and those are having special clothing color, wearing gang symbol as jewelry and having tattoos.
