In 6th grade, I joined the ROV team where we built a robot that was able to be piloted underwater and had to run it through different courses at a competition.Even though I was only a part of the team for the year, it was still interesting to be a part of a team. In my eighth grade year, I took FFA and was a part of each competition that was available to me. At the beginning of each school year, there is a soil judging competition where we examine soil and see the possible uses of it. Even though I have never been the best at it, it was still an interesting thing to do. Next down the competition line is Leadership Competition where I was a part of the Discovery and Greenhand, which are degrees in FFA, Conduct of Meetings team that made it to the State competition two years in a row. Even though we never got any further than that, it was still an accomplishment to make it that far. The final competition I have been taking part in is the Skills contest where you and your team would study a certain area of agriculture. The category I took part in was Environmental Skills where you had to be able to identify a myriad of wildlife, waterfowl, and aquatic life forms along with being able to judge soil, use a GPS, and measure different attributes of water. Your body may change, but it's the way you act alongside it that dictates who you will be remembered as. Since you have to become involved in your community, people recognize you for those deeds and will know to look for you for more help. Being active keeps you and your spirit in shape along with your self-esteem. After you have made it through the battle of change you can head back on track with your good friend
