Football is an extremely dangerous sport that younger kids shouldn’t not play anymore, for it teaches nothing good for our youth and it only allows them to hurt each other. In today’s society these are what most of the documents try to display about football. They make it seems as if it is barbaric and good for nothing; only causing harm to our younger generations. What these documents don’t show you is how much good playing football can be for our youth. Playing football can help teach discipline, persistence and many other important qualities to children. In every sport there are some injuries, but just like in those other sports, football teaches so much good to our kids that it is important to keep around. There is a lot that I have been able to learn from playing this sport and it has shaped me to become the person that I am today.
One major part of my life that had molded me and changed the way that I am is playing football. The reason that I believe that this has helped changed me in many positive ways is that it helped me to work harder and changed my perspective on many beliefs. Another reason that I feel as if football is so important to me is that it helped me bond with my teammates, which also helped changed how I am as a person today. Like many sports football begins to take over your life around the time that it begins, from the beginning of June until the middle of October or possibly longer, it is what almost all of you time and energy is pushed into. Putting so much time into football over the length of your career changes the person that you are and how you think. There are many downfalls that begin to appear with spending this much time with sports and that is another counter-argument that is used against letting children play sports like football.
