How Technology Affects Our Friendship?
Can you imagine a world without the Internet, computers and mobile phones? How are we going to live without all that? Today I am going to talk to you about how technology affects our friendship and plays the important roles in our lives.
In the past, we made friends with classmates in the school, played sports with friends at outdoor, talked with friends face-to-face. Long-distance friends wrote letters to stay in touch. We enjoy our staying with each other by sharing our lives. Today, technology provides us many different ways to stay in touch with our friends, people can just simply dial a phone number to talk or video chat with a friend live abroad, or use Facebook this kind of social networking site to get to know the latest news of our friends.
Technology really brings us a lot of convenience and quickness in our daily lives. We can always stay up to date with our friends wherever and whenever we are doing. All we need is just a smartphone that can connect to the Internet.

However, technology has its negative effect on friendship. Nowadays, people become lazy to talk face-to-face with their friends because they use instant messaging instead. People can make friends with anyone on the Internet, without knowing who they really are. Sometimes, we will meet bad guys using Internet to cheat people. In this point of view, technology badly affects the relationship with our real friends. This is because people rely too much on the machines and technology to maintain the relationships with friends. This results in people having weak interpersonal skills and social skills in the real world.

But anyway, how technology affects our lives depends on how we are going to use them. We should be careful when surfing on Internet and keep regular face time with friends, technology can really help a lot in our

Once upon a time, people had real-life conversations and real relationships. These days we either talk by texting, e-mails, or social media and we are even using the internet to find lovers. People are forgetting how to talk and have sincere relationships because technology is shaping how we falsely feel about others and ourselves. After reading Sherry Turkle’s book, Alone Together, I have become more aware of people and myself always being connected. Honestly, it frightens me. How would people behave without their cell phones or social media? Literally insane. People do not know how to function around other people unless they are connected to something. Why are we letting ourselves and our relationships be controlled by social media and our phones? People need to connect more with other people rather than being glued to the screens of their cell phones. Texting and social media are crumbling relationships, intimate and friendly, every day, yet it is letting us find love. We need to detox ourselves from technology to be able to have legitimate, caring relationships before it is too late and we cannot escape technology’s control. Although some use the Internet and social media to find love, look at what it can stir up and destroy, technology is not the answer for love.…

That shows that we are spending too much time online. In the article “Is Technology Killing Friendships?” The author Lauren Tarshis argues whether or not technology is ruining friendships. Considering all the friendships being broken because of the misuse of technology, it is clear to see that technology is ruining friendships. Teens might be missing out on genuine friendships because they are on the internet all the time. Teens are spending too much time alone texting when they could be hanging out with true friends. Teens also might mistake virtual…

Technology can help you keep close friendships with friends who move away or with relatives who do not live near you. "You can watch your baby cousin grow up via Instagram and stay- up-to-date on hundreds of people at once" ("Is Technology Killing Our Friendships?"). You can share daily experiences with photos on social media sites like Instagram or Snapchat, unlike with the time lag of writing letters and mailing them. Facetime is a good way to connect with people if you aren't able to see them face-to-face. Additionally, with heavy homework loads and busy extracurricular activity schedules, teens don't have time to physically be with their friends. Furthermore, in most families, both parents work and aren't available to transport their kids to friends' houses. "These platforms help people stay connected like never before" ("Is Technology Killing Our Friendships?"). Through digital communication, teens can still check in with their friends electronically, while having busy schedules. Communicating on electronic devices allows you to engage with friends and family in real time at anytime.…

Because the Internet tends to take up so much time, it starts to affect the behaviors of people mentally by making them anti-social. Their behaviors tend to change because they start to lose their social skills. For example, some people may use the Internet by picking on others, which is called cyber bullying. This behavior happens because people feel that it is easier and more humiliating if they bully someone over the Internet. The Internet makes people feel more comfortable with bullying because it’s anonymous and they don’t see the pain that they cause. Furthermore, it can make people suffer from discomfort because of its ability to feed their paranoia.…
