Manifest destiny was the Philosophy that created a nation, not only was the philosophy right but it made our nation what it thrives to be and what it continues to grow as. The 19th-Century doctrine or belief that the expansion of the U.S. throughout the American continents. It was a mission in the 1840’s destined by God to spread beliefs throughout the country. The united states not only could, but was compelled to span from coast to coast. With the drudgery and demeanor that the Anglo-Saxon Americans showed they got what they wished for, a true American nation.

For one native Americans were forced out off their land by force. They were forced to walk down the Trail of Tears most in bare feet. Many children and innocent people died on their last march. Some were just put on the slave market and continued the spread of slavery. Children and thousands of innocent people were put to work as slaves, all done by a man who didn’t even care. Another negative about the Manifest destiny was the buffalo population almost went extinct. While men were traveling west by trains, they would bring their hunting rifles. While on the train they would pass a herd of buffalo and men would just shoot them. They would not stop to harvest the meat or anything, they would just keep on going and let the animal suffer and die.
