Limit the Pillows.
Pillows are handy but can get in the way if there's too many of them. Too many of them on the bed give the impression of little brown, blue or red icebergs and when you go to use the bed for sleeping, you often end up dropping them on the floor. Less clutter equals good.
Small bedroom
Big Furniture equals problem. If you have small spaces and big furniture don't make the problem worse by cramming it all into the small space. Heavy curtains are fine during bright sunny days but as darkness approaches they restrict light and this makes the bedroom seem smaller. An excellent alternative is to use lighter shades that allow privacy but still let in some natural light
Over accessorizing.
Accessories should accent a bedroom not overwhelm it. Too many accessories equal clutter which later becomes dust magnets. If you can't part with any of your accessories, just rotate them. Maybe with the seasons changing, you can update your bedroom with a different set of accessories. This is a free way to change the look, and you'll also get a personal boost from having a fresh look at your bedroom. Also, you will notice all the individual pieces more because they will not be competing heavily for your attention.
