They wanted to end the Civil Rights era. Malcom X was a well-known African American Activist. He had a violent approach to the way minorities were treated in the south. He wanted to create an “All Black community”. Rosa parks were also a prominent African American of that time. She was a local seamstress who refused to give up he sit on a bus for a white person. Martin Luther King Jr. was also an important civil rights activist because he had a non-violent approach to the way minorities were treated in the south. Freedom rides were burned up and riders were treated badly. Freedom rides were integrated and African Americans sat in front of the bus. The white freedom riders were insulted and called names because they were freedom riders. People were against what they did, so they treated them unfairly.
