FB Post 14 – 20th Feb 2014: After my FB post 13 on 18 Feb 2014 and after one and half months of sending request twice for the reissue of credit card, I got a SMS on 19 Feb 2014 stating “Dear HDFC Bank Card member, We are unable to process your request for reissuance of your card ending 4609 due to Signature mismatch.” As stated earlier in my FB Post 5 dated 8th Jan 2014, where I stated various excuses which HDFC Bank will cite for not issuing credit card, has come true. Both of the first two conditions systematically fulfilled. For the convenience of readers, I am reproducing it “Yesterday sent request for reissue of credit card by ordinary post at following address:

Now waiting to hear one of the following excuses for not reissuing credit card
1. We haven’t received your hard copy signed request by post.
2. Your signatures don’t match with our record.
3. Or something innovative which I am not in a position to guess.”
As advised by my friends with jeering remarks about all Indian banks and their customer care, I have already applied for credit card of citi bank and not going to send any further request to HDFC Bank for reissue of so called my credit card as stated in SMS. Will be waiting to see when HDFC banks wakes up out of its slumber.
