How to have a good relationship with your boss
In the working environment, it takes a lot of effort to get the work done and also have a good relationship with your colleagues and even more important – your boss. Since his or her opinion about you will affect your future career so absolutely, you better look good in their eyes. Even though it’s not easy to do so, but if you follow these simple steps, you can achieve it in no time.
First, don’t be late for work ever, make sure you will be there when your boss come in the morning. And don’t go home before your boss. Whenever you see him or her, say ‘hi’ and don’t forget to smile.
Second of all, ask about work proactively. Don’t just sit there and wait for the commands. Show your boss how ardent and passionate you are. While doing so, remember to carefully double-check all your work since you want to be diligent not hasty.
Furthermore, you may ask them about their personal life like their kids, their interests… Of course, try to remember all the details as much as possible so you will have something to talk about besides work. It also shows how much of a thoughtful person you are.
Last but not least, good sense of humor is always great to reduce the stress at the workplace. So if you have that, it would be wonderful. But keep in mind, be a charming funny person, not an annoying clown.
In conclusion, never neglect your duty as an employee and also don’t forget to take interest in learning to be a good friend to your boss and gain their trust not only in work but also in every effect of life. And because not everyone has a sense of humor so if you don’t, it’s okay. Just don’t be a grumpy person. After all, stress at the workplace is never healthy.
