Ladies and gentlemen,
ADHD is a condition of the brain that affects a person’s ability to pay attention or concentrate. To improve this behavioral disorder, a proper daily management is needed. As a guardian of hyperactive kid, set clear rules, consequences and boundaries by writing out the rules. The rules must be introduced directly and also by using eye contact. Make sure you are asking the child to repeat back to what you have told them. This step is to make them remember what they can do and what they cannot do. By establishing regular routines, the discipline base of the child will be stronger. When routines are not clear and consistent, they will have difficulty in transitioning their routines. For an example, if a child knows that bedtimes is at 9 PM, then he or she will naturally fall into the pattern of going bed at 9 PM. If bedtime is ‘anytime’, or if one allows child with an 8 PM bedtime to go to bed at 9.30 PM or 10 PM, then the child suffers from lack of routine and will act accordingly. Besides, use free time together by take trips to the park, read a special book together and take a walk or simply giggle and be silly with them. These are helpful in bonding with hyperactive kids and as an exception of following normal household rules, the child is not required to do anything but be with you in a natural and freeway.
ADHD kids need guidance and understanding from people around them either parents or teacher. Not all people can handle hyperactive kids. Patience and tolerance is needed in this kind of situation. A proper lifestyle will help improving hyperactive child’s concentration with cooperation from family. So, ladies and gentlemen, we have remembered that all of us might become a mother and a father in the future. We also have the probability to confront the problem of having ADHD kids. This information is very useful and as an initial step to face problems that might happen in future. The child is a gift from God. So, please set in our mind that having hyperactive kids is a test from Him to us.
