I reviewed my first paper to see what all I had missed and how it could be corrected. Many of my mistakes were sentence structure or misplacing of commas. I went on to many websites to figure out how to make better sentence structure throughout my papers. To correct my comma problem I went directly to Mrs. Smelley since nothing on the internet was really helping me. When I went in for some reason I was nervous as could be. I had butterflies all up in my stomach and almost up to my neck thinking they may fly out! When I finally got in there and had everything out and ready to go over Mrs. Smelley went at lighting speed going over everything and anything anyone could ever want or need to know about commas. As the year went on we had two or three more papers and those grade ended up going up a little bit each time. About half way through the spring semester we had to write a research paper on a role model using a biography or an autobiography as our main source. I combed over a few aisles of books at the school library and ended up finding a book by Michael Oher “I Beat the Odds, From Homeless, To the Blind Side.” It took me about two weeks to read the book and when I had finished I knew that I had picked the right role model for my paper because of the adversities that he faced somewhat went with one of my adversities as a child. When he was diagnosed with a learning disability which in turn made school harder for him. When I was in high school I was diagnosed with lymes disease. The symptoms vary between person to person, but my symptoms happened to be short term memory loss. This plagued my learning as I had to figure out new ways to study material and basically learn everything so that I could pass my classes and exceed in life.
