How to Make Melted Crayon Art
Justice Snider General Purpose: To demonstrate Specific Purpose: To demonstrate to my audience how to make art with melted crayons. Central Idea: Art doesn’t have to be difficult it can be fun and colorful.
INTRODUCTION
I. Attention material
a. I love Art it can be intense, sad, happy, and all together expressive. Crayons have been a part of everyone’s child hood.
b. Today I’m going to show you the steps to taking coloring with crayons to a whole new meaning.
II. Orienting Material
a. Today I want to show you that crayons aren’t just for kids
b. I will demonstrate my technique on melted crayons and how awesome you can make it look.
(Transition: like many projects let’s start by gathering the materials)
BODY
I. There are several supplies that are essential to complete the project.
a) The first item is a canvas.
b) The second most important item is crayons.
c) You also need a hot glue gun
d) Tape
e) Paint
(Transition: Now we have supplies let’s look at some things some people like but may not need.)
II. There are some supplies that are optional
a) Instead of painting the picture you can print one.
b) Some people like glitter.
c) Cover up paper.
(Transition: Now we can proceed to making our master piece.)
III. The second step is to get creative!
a) A theme is always a good starting point.
b) Decide if you want to blend the crayon or let it drip.
(Transition: we’re half done now all that’s left is to bust out the crayons and paint.)
IV. The third step is to start creating your masterpiece.
a) Paint your main them.
b) Tape over it.
c) Glue on the crayons.
d) Melt the crayons.
e) Take off the tape.
(Transition: Now you have a cool art piece it’s time to clean.)
V. Cleaning up afterward is easy
a) Unplug the glue gun.
b) Clean the paint brushes.
c) Through the trash away
d) Put crayons up
(Transition: you now know how to make a piece of art to be proud of. Let’s review those steps.)
