How to Make a Good Speech
MBA 10 GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC SPEAKING PRACTICE SESSION

1. Students are required to submit (preferably) a computer generated write-up of one page (only) on the topic assigned to them. This is to be submitted on 17th Sept 2013. The talk is to be for three minutes duration only. Participants are to deliver the talk in English. If the write up is hand written, please restrict to a maximum of two pages only.

3. The write up which is to be submitted be laid out as under:

(a) Salutation: Dear / Hon’ble/ Respected etc ……….Follow this up with all those who you feel need to be included / mentioned. Participants must write the complete salutation.

(b) Introduction: Here give IN FULL one para of the introduction to your talk. The essence is it must attract the audience to your talk and be relevant too.

(c) Main body: In this portion DO NOT repeat please DO NOT paraphrase. Instead write down the issues that you will include only in point form.

(d) Conclusion: Write the concluding para IN FULL.

4. Just to remind please: make your talk effective – add anecdotes, relevant statistics, personal experiences, decent and relevant humour humour etc, as applicable. Besides several issues discussed in the class, it helps to remember all the nuances of your audience and your key message(s).

6. The talks in the class may not follow the attendance roll no. sequence.
