1. Always invest in buying a copy
If you are a fresher at college, you will face a greater pressure of assignments as compared to high school, but there’s no cause to worry. Everyone takes some time to adjust to a new environment. To follow the class and cope up with the syllabus, you need to attend lectures regularly, and make good notes. Maintaining a notebook with notes on all lectures will make sure that you learn the important parts of the chapters you have been taught. Don’t try to read anything and everything, as there will be too much to read for each subject.
2. Buy highlighters
One way to distinguish between the notes of each subject is to make use of colors for each class. For instance, you can use black for physics, red for chemistry and yellow for math. This will make your notes more systematic and easy to identify, especially when you are going through the class notes. It will also save time, as you won’t have to scrape through your notebook in order to find out important sections related to each subject before the exam. The only exception you would come across is a used book. Therefore, whenever you are buying books related to your syllabus, try to buy new books or rent a copy from a library.
3. Break down the reading depending on the time available
Suppose you have attended a lecture on Wednesday, and have to make a 30 page reading for Saturday. You can complete it in time by breaking the assignment into three parts. This would mean that you will have to read only 10 pages on a daily basis. This will help you to manage your time more efficiently, and you will have sufficient time to go through the notes of other subjects as well.
4. Read the most difficult parts first
Everyone fears some class, and they are usually reluctant to attend lectures for those classes.. Make it a point to go through the subjects related to these classes first. No doubt, it will give you some headaches, but at least it
