Career and College Research Paper I hope to pursue a career in being a vet. My whole life I’ve always wanted to help out animals. Ever since I was a little kid, I always loved animals and I’ve realized that my passion in life is to become a vet. A vet is a medical professional who protects and takes care of animals and people. It is important to understand the education or training, skills or talents needed, salary and benefits offered, and the duties for a particular career when making this decision. A veterinarian takes place in a variety of places. For instance, a vet that is working with horses would work on a farm. However, other veterinarians work in private clinics, hospitals, laboratories, classrooms, universities, rescue leagues …show more content…
You must complete your bachelor’s degree, earn a doctor of veterinary medicine, then become licensed. Also, your character traits would have a lot to do with it. You would have to work well with animals and be around other animals. When working with animals you must be elucidate to the animals. The college that I will be attending is Oklahoma State University (OSU). Oklahoma State University is a beautiful, placid campus with an immense community. Oklahoma State University has some great professors, and amazing people. Oklahoma State University is located in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The in state tuition for Oklahoma State is $18,660. Which is $4,160.25 per semester. The requirements are simple. You will need a bachelor of science or you will need a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry.The classes for this major is 2 years of general chemistry, 2 years of organic chemistry, 1 or 2 semesters of biochemistry. To get this degree, you will need to work very hard and be dedicated to what you’re doing. You will need to study the subject and fulfil the requirements to get this degree. To become a veterinarian, you will need to grind and work hard. This will take you quite a bit of work to become a veterinarian. It will take up 4-6 years to graduate from
