This past year there were 33 states that saw a decrease in overall homeless population, while there were 17 states that saw an increase. The homeless citizens face many challenges. For instance, diseases are more common among the population, unsafe living environments and are faced with bad weather conditions. These poor people are barely making an effort to get by and living with bare necessities. Many people, who are considered poor, are at risk of homelessness. This is most likely because it is hard for them to afford the high prices of housing. Due to unemployment, housing cost rises, abuse, health issues, natural disasters and many others poor people may not be able to afford housing. It could be any man, any woman, or any child. There is no limit on what age, race, or ethnicity. Although there isn’t a whole lot people can do for these homeless people but we can try our best to solve this by: volunteering, educating, organizing, donating, contributing, and giving. Throughout the world it is impossible to count the exact amount of homeless, but it is known to be millions. This number is increasing daily and will continue to increase without help and interest from everyday citizens who may happen to be luckier than these homeless
