We are in a people oriented business, most of the times we notice that our outlets we visit seems to have new Beauty Advisor’s every time. While we recognize the importance of them, we also recognize there are several reasons with the highest attritions. Perhaps it is because the market demands are high with a number of organizations, attracting young first timers to represent BRAND; furthermore the recruits need not possess a requisite on qualification totally depending on the extrovert skills they have. Once they learn or groom, they gain confidence and start moving to a higher paying job or unhappy working with us.

"How do we “RETAIN” our Beauty Advisor’s? RETAIN in a lexicon has various meanings such as recall, apply, maintain keep etc. This word acronym can help all of us, specifically for our diligence.

Respect - Respect is hard to gain and easy to lose. Gaining and keeping the respect of our BA’s is vital for the success of our business. When our BA’s respect us as a person & professional everything else will come into place. They will listen to us, follow the rules, and have high levels of integrity. On the flip side, we, as a manager, have to respect our BA’s and trust him or her with the success. Our BA’s are the ones along the front line constantly coming into contact with our customers. The power is really in their hands; literally…we must give respect to generate respect!
Encourage - Drive them to sell more, work as a team, and allow them to be creative! One method of boost that makes wonders for BA’s is the daily competition. Give away awards for BA’s who sell more… I mean to upsell as per the ticket size determined, or sell a particular SKU.
Teach - Here is invariably room for growth and improvement, remember never to portray a negative attitude or degrade BA. Teachable
