6 SUGGESTIONS REGARDING THE TECHNICAL PRESENTATION OF

The completion of assignments should be viewed as a crucial important learning aid to help you prepare for the examinations. Essay assignments should be presented in a structured way. • Avoid making statements in your assignments (and for that matter also in the examinations) which you do not (or cannot) substantiate further. This is also related to a habit of many students to copy sections from study guides word for word and then expect to receive marks for them. You always have to assume that the reader is a novice in the field and that you have to explain the facts very well. • If at all possible, please submit assignments typed in at least 1.5 line spacing. Some students' handwriting is extremely difficult to read.
• The assignment cover in which you submit your assignment should be completed correctly.
• You may do additional reading, but this is not necessary for the purposes of this programme.
NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO USE THE UNISA LIBRARY FACILITIES WITHOUT
PRIOR APPROVAL AND PAYMENT OF THE PRESCRIBED ADDITIONAL FEE.
