How To Use A Surgical Mask

Paragraph 1: The terms respirator and mask are used interchangeably a lot. You may be asking yourself what is the difference? To put it simple, a safety mask filters out particulates (partials) that are in the air. Particulates could include saw dust, plaster dust, pollen or anything that could be in the air. A safety respirator protects against particulates, but also protects against airborne solvents such as spray / air paint, aerosol, gas, and fumes. There also is a 3rd type of mask called a surgical mask. It does not protect against particulates and aerosols, but it does help prevent the spread of illnesses for the user.
