An eyelash curler is the perfect accessory if you want your eyes to look bigger, brighter and more dramatic. It is easy and simple to use this curler, if done correctly, and the way it is designed, enables the eyelash curler to curl the upper lashes, whether they are small or long, making them look fuller, yet natural.
An eyelash curler can also curl fake eyelashes and is available in metal or plastic.
How to Use an Eyelash Curler
Technique 1-Applying heat
1. Ensure there is no mascara on your eyelash as, when the curler clamps down on the upper eyelash, mascara may stick to the curler pulling the eyelash out from its root.
2. Set the hairdryer to medium heat and heat the eyelash curler for a maximum of five seconds as this will give the eyelash more curl. This is not necessary, but will make your eyes more glamorous. If using a metal curler, touch to make sure it is not too hot.
3. Open your eyes wide while looking in the mirror and place the bumpers (rubbery parts) of the eyelash curler in such a way that the upper and lower part of the top lash is in the center.
4. Clamp the curler over the eyelashes for about five seconds (do not clamp down for too long), release and pull away.
5. Repeat with the other eye.
6. Put mascara on the lashes after they are curled for a neater, more dramatic look.
Technique 2-Looking natural
1. For shiny, dewy eyelashes that look natural and attractive, gently put a little petroleum jelly on the lashes.
2. Repeat steps 3-5 of Technique 1.
Technique 3-Looking glamorous
1. Put a thin coat of mascara on the lashes.
2. Repeat steps 3-5 of Technique 1.
3. Put another thin coat of mascara to the lashes.
4. When the mascara is just about dry, repeat steps 3-5 of Technique 1.
5. You can apply as many mascara coats as you want and curl them till you acquire your desired look.
