Homework is listed under the active week – click on the homework (called a “quiz”) to begin working.

You can see the due date of the homework on the right hand side of the screen once you are in your assignment.
The due dates will be flexible based on the pace of the lecture.
When using Moodle, carefully read the directions – note that all numeric answers must be entered in standard decimal notation and units (unless specifically noted) are not to be included in the answer. Failure to properly enter an answer may result in not receiving credit for an item.
You will be given three attempts for each quiz.
Your grade for the homework will be 50 points total. The breakdown by chapter will vary based on the number of problems. Your score for each chapter will be calculated from the percentage of problems correctly answered (to receive maximum credit for an assignment you need to answer 80% correctly).

You MUST submit your assignment before the due date to obtain a grade – if you do not submit an assignment, it will not be included in the gradebook.

If you have any difficulties with the system, please direct your email to
Moodle.hmk@gmail.com – you should get assistance within 24 hours.

The Great Awakening of 1735-1745 was a reaction to a decline in piety and a carelessness of morals within the Congregational Churches of New England. Although the Great Awakening stimulated dramatic conversions and an increase in church membership, it also provoked conflicts and divisions within the established church. This striking revival of religious piety and its emphasis on salvation ultimately transformed the religious order of Connecticut. The decline in piety among the second generation of Puritans, which stemmed from economic changes, political transformations, and Enlightenment rationalism, was the primary cause of the Great Awakening.…
