Declaration of Damaris L. Suarez Garcia
I declare under penalty of perjury that the following is true and correct to the best of my knowledge:
I was granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) on April 13, 2015. My deferred action is valid until April 12, 2017. I submit this declaration in support of my application for deferred action.
I am applying for the Advance Parole based on two humanitarian reasons my paternal grandmother in Mexico has been sick and going to the hospital in regular basis. She is sixty three year old. My grandmother has been diagnosed with diabetes type 2. Therefore, she has several problems with her sugar labels and pain in both of her feet. She has incipient damage
that has cause her to be depended on her family. As a result, she depends on her medicines and struggles with her health daily.
In another case, my great grandmother Juana Acosta passed November 16. She was very sick and had a lot of problems with her health as well. Sadly, I was not able to travel and see her before her death. For this reason I am afraid that my grandmother will passed away before I have the opportunity to see her. It was hard not been able to go to the funeral of my great grandmother.
I have not seen my grandmother in over thirteen years. Therefore, I would like to spend quality time with her. I know that there is times when she has been by herself and struggling with her sickness. Certainly, I recognized that there would be a time when I wont be able to see her anymore. Under those circumstances, I do not want to take this opportunity for granted, I want her to see me before anything happens.
I intent to visit Mexico on January 18, 2017 and return back to the United States by February 15, 2017. My travel dates are flexible depending on the period allowed by my advance parole. Please help me reunite with my family and spend time with them in this very short trip. Thank you very much.
